Debbie's experience writing case studies is a case study itself!
CUSTOMER:
Debbie interviewed for a freelance job to write case studies for a technology company. However, the client was unsure if she had the ability to help them, since she had never before written a case study.
PROBLEM:
The customer had previously hired a technical writer that didn't work out and made his customers upset at the final case study results. However, Debbie's journalism, marketing, and basic design skills served her well. She told the president in her interview: "I'm fast and I'm good. Hire me and you won't be disappointed."
SOLUTION:
The president hired her and she interviewed his customers, putting the case studies together accurately, and in record time via MS Publisher. (She acted as a ghostwriter, meaning her name didn't appear on the bylines).
RESULTS/BENEFITS:
The client received a lot of positive feedback from his customers and was so impressed with her work that he hired her back to write the following year's batch of annual case studies!

SHORT ARTICLES / BLOGS from PHONE INTERVIEWS
The information for this short article was taken from a phone interview Debbie conducted with the physician as he was leaving for a much-deserved vacation. He approved the first draft of the article and it was published without any changes.

This article was also produced from a phone review. Debbie highlighted one of her favorite realtors who had helped her sell her property. She found out that SuAnne was going to be featured in an annual realtor section of a local magazine and offered to interview and write the article. After the edition was published, the office manager said the phone started ringing off the hook from potential sellers who wanted to list with SuAnne. Her office manager asked these people why they didn't contact the other realtors who were featured in the magazine and said they told her, "The other articles and realtors didn't interest us!"
